CrossOver Series

Series of Ground Penetrating Radar systems

CrossOver is a general-purpose series of GPR-systems, in three different housings and with 6 separate frequencies in the range 70- to 800MHz. It is designed for the professional-geo community. It may be pulled or pushed in dedicated carts, by hand or by means of vehicles, at any speeds.

Each system comes as a true-dual frequency antenna with inbuilt control electronics and GPS-modules. The systems are controlled via Android-pads over a wireless link. It is based on real-time-technology which gives excellent depth penetration and bandwidth. Low power consumption gives 7 hours operational time, on one battery.

Antennas

CO4080

It incorporates two channels with ultra-wide band frequencies centred around 400 MHz and 800 MHz. Inbuilt GPS-unit.

CO1760

It incorporates two channels with ultra-wide band frequencies centred around 170 MHz and 600 MHz. Inbuilt GPS-unit

CO730

It incorporates two channels with ultra-wide band frequencies centred around 70 MHz and 300 MHz. Inbuilt GPS-unit.

Accessories

Pulling kit

The CrossOver pulling accessories and measuring wheel provides an alternative means to collect data in less accessible areas or where space is limited. Ergonomically designed to provide maximum comfort for the operator even during many hours of use.

The pulling kit consists of the pulling rods, chest-harness, waist belt.

Push cart

The CrossOver push cart provides an efficient means to move the antenna over a range of surfaces for the rapid collection of 2D GPR data. The handle assembly is fully foldable to reduce the physical footprint, making transportation and storage much more efficient. The push cart can be equipped with external RTK GPS antennas or Total Station positioning.

The CrossOver Cart provides an efficient way to move the antenna over a range of surfaces for the rapid collection of 2D GPR data. The CrossOver Cart comes in two sizes, one to fit the CO4080 antenna and the other to fit the slightly larger CO1760 antenna. When used with a suitable antenna tray insert, the CO1760 Cart can also comfortably hold the smaller CO4080 antenna. Regardless of the size, the antenna can easily be fitted into the Cart and can remain secured in place even when the battery needs changing. The handle assembly is fully foldable to reduce the physical footprint, making transportation and storage much more efficient. The complete assembly can be moved easily from site to site and configured for use within a matter of minutes.

Measuring wheels

The measuring wheel, Φ 250mm is made of printed plastics and fits all three CrossOver GPR units, the odometer and cable are housed inside, protected. Downward pressure is accomplished with rubber straps, and the shape is optimised for smooth operation in all cases.

External GPS mounting kit

A range of optional GPS mounting accessories is available for both the push-cart and GPS unit itself. The mounting poles are available in different lengths to vary the height of the GPS GPR unit, as/if needed.

Software

ViewPoint Android App

The Android data acquisition App includes industry standard marker functionality (APWA, AS5488, or user-defined) to enable users to mark-up data in the field to correlate with the actual paint marks they put on the ground and any subsequent field sketches or report outputs.

Software

CrossPoint Visualisation Software

GPR data files are compatible with CrossPoint software for Windows-based processing, interpretation, and analysis of GPR data. The user-friendly interface provides practical tools for filter assignment, data processing, marking points of interest within radar profiles, visualizing markers on support maps, and exporting markers for geo-referencing within suitable CAD/GIS platforms.

Skidplate

We provide two different types of skid-plates, one for the carts and one for the pulling configurations. Both are designed to protect the antennas and ease the pulling/pushing of the antennas over the ground. The skid plate which is included in the pulling kit has a longer nose in order to float trough terrain. Both types are considered consumables and will wear out with time, consequently, they can be ordered as spares.

Capture9

An Android-driven user interface offers flexibility in your choice of the acquisition and control device (tablet/smartphone) giving you more options to suit specific needs and budget.

Wireless, but secure data transfer between the antenna and user interface simplifies set-up and practical use.

ImpulseRadar’s revolutionary dual-channel GPR antenna design takes it to the next level. The unique range of dual-channel solutions reduces the need for investments in multiple single-channel antennas to achieve the same objectives. Whilst the high-speed performance increases productivity.

Real-Time-Sampling (RTS) based GPR antenna designs have much better performance (increased dynamic range, sensitivity and depth penetration) than conventional GPR antenna designs.
